Happy Friday, y’all

I’ll be sleeping for most of eternity.

Tonight my favorite celebrity would be H. Jon Benjamin. I would love to have a drink with the man that’s voiced Coach McGuirk, Bob Belcher and Stirling Archer, among many others. It’s hard to pick a favorite celebrity because how will you know that if you ever met them they’d still be worth the awe that you’ve given them? But I would have a drink with H. Jon Benjamin any day, just to laugh and see if I could out drink and eat Stirling/Bob.

My cat Selina has been cuddly tonight, so she goes to the top of the list this evening. A house cat isn’t the most exciting pick, but I rescued her from a shelter when she was a kitten, and she was one of the few kittens that played with me there. Like her namesake, Selina Kyle/Catwoman, she can be a hard one to keep nearby, so when you’ve got a chance with Selina, you make the most of it.

26 Video game

Red Dead Redemption. It’s one of the few games that I’ve played through multiple times just so I can feel the story again. When it first came out I was worried that it would be GTA on horses, but it’s a better story than any of the GTAs and it’s own gameplay too. There an honesty to the characters, even the villains, that’s compelled me to replay the game in a way that few do.

You know what’s cool (other than bowties and fezzes)? Diversity in storytelling. You know what makes that happen? Diversity in the writers you have working on a series. Because many different experiences give rise to a many splendid thing.

This is why I think it’s high time we see more women and people of color writing the stories on Doctor Who. I made the case for it over on The Nerdist, if such a thing tickles your fancy.
